Earning capacity of the vessel went to one hundred seventy five thousand dollars a day on a capital investment of about 26 million including purchase and upgrades.
Specific Project: Complete refurbishment of a vessel now named the GGS Atlantic. The vessel was brought from ABS “laid up” status to a full working seismic vessel. All seismic gear was added while the vessel was being refurbished. The GGS Atlantic has produced admirably since being taken back out on the job from Freeport, Texas. The vessel has traveled to India, the middle east and back to the Gulf with a side trip to South America and Trinidad. The vessel was used on both Multi Client and single client contracts. Time involved for project from purchase to launch was one year at a competitive cost. Project endured shipyard labor strikes and some weather threats.
