The graphic shown here on the left is a representation of two focus areas which include approximately 20 percent of the interpretation of all of the data acquired on the East Coast of the USA.
Presented here are two focus areas which encompass an area just south of Long Island extending south along the Jersey shore almost to Chesapeake Bay. The interpretation included four named geological surfaces along with most attributes. We have completed the interpretation on several of these focus areas at this time.
The data was acquired from the BOEMRE archives and evaluated. The processing of this archived data involved several steps to get the files to a graphic representation that could be interpreted on an interpretation system. The geological presentation here is a representation of all of these efforts. The digital data can be transported easily to at least two industry accepted interpretation systems allowing further analysis and interpretation of seismic, well and other data.
There are four surfaces picked on the adjacent section This line is located in the Hudson Canyon.
- Near Base Tertiary (red)
- Lower Cretaceous (green)
- Near Top Jurassic (gold)
- Lower Jurassic (purple)
Completely different data sets overlayed and compared. The data were acquired around 1980.
This is a display of the seismic data after interpretation and some surface processing in Geocap system. Using Emtuk velocity database the surfaces are depth migrated for display in the diagram to the left . Colors are coordinated with the interpreted section displayed above.
